Feds launch 'Gestapo raid' over raw milk

A rally has been set for tomorrow in front of the magistrate's office in Mt. Holly, Pa., in support of a Mennonite farmer who has brought the wrath of the government on himself for selling raw milk and other products – an act government prosecutors say violates a number of regulations.

That's when the next court hearing is scheduled for Mark Nolt, a Pennsylvania farmer who turned in his state permit to sell raw milk because it didn't allow for the sale of the other products he offered.

"They swooped in ... like a bunch of Vikings, handcuffed me and stole $30,000 worth of my milk, cheese and butter," he told the New York Daily News.

His case is just an example of what the government is trying to do to those who believe – based on medical results – that raw milk is better for them than the processed milk available in most grocery stores, according to Nolt's supporters.

Processed milk, many believe, leads to clogged arteries, strokes and heart attacks.

According to reports published by the Weston A. Price Foundation, results of a study by the Medical Research Council in the United Kingdom revealed only one percent of the subjects in an ongoing lifestyle study of 5,000 men suffered heart attacks – if they drank full-fat milk and ate butter rather than margarine.

"We learned ... that [the] study collected data on 5,000 British men between the ages of 45 and 59 for a period of 10 years. Of those that drank at least a pint of whole milk a day, only one percent suffered heart attacks!" the foundation report said. "Some researchers are already claiming the difference is due to a healthier lifestyle on the part of the milk and butter consumers. Others, however, think that milk and butter may have some yet undiscovered benefits."

Another article in the British medical journal Lancet also noted that children who consumed "farm milk," that is, raw, whole, unprocessed milk, had lower levels of asthma and hay fever.

"Researchers examined the history of allergy, asthma and 'atopic sensitization' or skin problems in 812 children, 319 of whom had grown up with a 'regular exposure to a farming environment' including the consumption of 'farm milk,' that is, raw, whole, unprocessed milk. The remaining group of 493 non-farming children acted as a control. Frequency of asthma was reduced from 11 percent found in the control group to one percent among the farming-exposed children. Similarly, hay fever occurred in only three percent of the farming-exposed children, compared with 13 percent of the controls, and atopic sensitization occurred in 12 percent of the farming group and in 29 percent of the controls," the foundation reported.

According to a blog report on the Cumberland County case in Pennsylvania, Nolt had been under threat of arrest for months, and authorities came for him on April 25.

Jonas Stoltzfus, a fellow farmer and member of the Church of the Brethren, was asked to be a spokesman for Nolt, and confirmed, "Six state troopers and Bill Chirdon of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture trespassed onto his property, and stole $20,000-$250,000 of his product and equipment."

Stoltzfus reported Nolt turned in his state permit to sell raw milk "because it did not cover all the products he was selling. he felt he was being dishonest selling stuff that was not covered by the permit."

Stoltzfus said authorities told Nolt people had gotten sick from eating his food, "but no one ever came forward and no proof was ever offered."

"This is a Gestapo raid," Stoltzfus told the blog report, "complete with state troopers, raiding a hard-working farmer selling milk to friends and customers."

The Daily News reported the farmer's customers were enraged.

"My heart is pounding. I can't believe what a G-- d--- police state this is," one Brooklyn customer told the newspaper. "I gave him $100 last week for a huge delivery of stuff, including raw cream that I planned on using to make cream puffs."

Nolt told the newspaper he didn't feel bound by the government's limits on selling milk.

"The government doesn't have the right to dictate what I eat, and never will," he told the paper.

Stoltzfus compared Nolt to "that little black lady in Alabama who wouldn't go to the back of the bus."

"Mark believes it is his right to sell, according to the constitution, just like it was Rosa Park's right to sit wherever she wanted on the bus," he said.

A blogger who operates under the name The Complete Patient reported the government, in the form of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, had descended on Nolt's 100-acre farm already in 2007.

"Nolt contends that the regulations have not been approved by the legislature and shouldn't apply to him because he is selling directly to consumers, via private contracts that are outside the purview of the state, making a privilege out of a right he believes he has – the right to private contracts," the blogger wrote.

Taaron Meikle, president of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, said Nolt's case has the highest profile right now because of his arrest and pending court case.

"We have a lot of consumers who are drinking raw milk, because of the health benefits," she told WND. "What is happening is truly upsetting.

"Basically, what's happening is farmers are saying they don't want this raw milk permit because it only applies to milk and hard cheeses, not selling butter or yogurt," she said.

"[The government] says it is trying to protect the consumer, but the reality is that consumers are very well informed. They are not making a decision based on ignorance," she said.

She noted the campaign that has been launched called Real Milk by the Weston A. Price Foundation, providing information about milk, its benefits, and any dangers there are.

She said what consumers need to do is get organized and write letters, becoming activists on the issue if they want to avoid processed milk from cows that are genetically altered or fed genetically altered grains.

A case with some similarities also is going on in California, where federal agents have interrogated employees of Organic Pastures Dairy Co. about its sales of raw milk for pet food.

"FDA has gone on the record as 'hating raw milk' in any form," Mark McAfee, president of Organic Pastures, said. "If Organic Pastures is doing something illegal, all FDA needs to do is come and tell us and we will make the necessary changes to our labels and procedures."

Jody N. told WND that Nolt's customers "are in outrage, because they have private contracts with this farmer and their food was stolen."

'Wiped off the Map' – The Rumor of the Century

Across the world, a dangerous rumor has spread that could have catastrophic implications. According to legend, Iran's president has threatened to destroy Israel, or, to quote the misquote, "Israel must be wiped off the map." Contrary to popular belief, this statement was never made.

On Tuesday, October 25th, 2005 at the Ministry of Interior conference hall in Tehran, newly elected Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad delivered a speech at a program, reportedly attended by thousands, titled "The World Without Zionism." Large posters surrounding him displayed this title prominently in English, obviously for the benefit of the international press. Below the poster's title was a slick graphic depicting an hour glass containing planet Earth at its top. Two small round orbs representing the United States and Israel are shown falling through the hour glass' narrow neck and crashing to the bottom.

Before we get to the infamous remark, it's important to note that the "quote" in question was itself a quote – they are the words of the late Ayatollah Khomenei, the father of the Islamic Revolution. Although he quoted Khomeini to affirm his own position on Zionism, the actual words belong to Khomeini and not Ahmadinejad. Thus, Ahmadinejad has essentially been credited (or blamed) for a quote that is not only unoriginal, but represents a viewpoint already in place well before he ever took office.

The Actual Quote:

So what did Ahmadinejad actually say? To quote his exact words in Farsi:

"Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad."

That passage will mean nothing to most people, but one word might ring a bell: rezhim-e. It is the word "regime." pronounced just like the English word with an extra "eh" sound at the end. Ahmadinejad did not refer to Israel the country or Israel the land mass, but the Israeli regime. This is a vastly significant distinction, as one cannot wipe a regime off the map. Ahmadinejad does not even refer to Israel by name, he instead uses the specific phrase "rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods" (regime occupying Jerusalem).

So this raises the question.. what exactly did he want "wiped from the map"? The answer is: nothing. That's because the word "map" was never used. The Persian word for map, "nagsheh" is not contained anywhere in his original Farsi quote, or, for that matter, anywhere in his entire speech. Nor was the western phrase "wipe out" ever said. Yet we are led to believe that Iran's president threatened to "wipe Israel off the map." despite never having uttered the words "map." "wipe out" or even "Israel."

The Proof:

The full quote translated directly to English:

"The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time."

Word by word translation:

Imam (Khomeini) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayad (must) az safheh-ye ruzgar (from page of time) mahv shavad (vanish from).

The Speech and Context:

While the false "wiped off the map" extract has been repeated infinitely without verification, Ahmadinejad's actual speech itself has been almost entirely ignored. Given the importance placed on the "map" comment, it would be sensible to present his words in their full context to get a fuller understanding of his position. In fact, by looking at the entire speech, there is a clear, logical trajectory leading up to his call for a "world without Zionism." One may disagree with his reasoning, but critical appraisals are infeasible without first knowing what that reasoning is.

In his speech, Ahmadinejad declares that Zionism is the West's apparatus of political oppression against Muslims. He says the "Zionist regime" was imposed on the Islamic world as a strategic bridgehead to ensure domination of the region and its assets. Palestine, he insists, is the frontline of the Islamic world's struggle with American hegemony, and its fate will have repercussions for the entire Middle East.

Ahmadinejad acknowledges that the removal of America's powerful grip on the region via the Zionists may seem unimaginable to some, but reminds the audience that, as Khomeini predicted, other seemingly invincible empires have disappeared and now only exist in history books. He then proceeds to list three such regimes that have collapsed, crumbled or vanished, all within the last 30 years:

(1) The Shah of Iran – the U.S. installed monarch

(2) The Soviet Union

(3) Iran's former arch-enemy, Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein

In the first and third examples, Ahmadinejad prefaces their mention with Khomeini's own words foretelling that individual regime's demise. He concludes by referring to Khomeini's unfulfilled wish: "The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time. This statement is very wise." This is the passage that has been isolated, twisted and distorted so famously. By measure of comparison, Ahmadinejad would seem to be calling for regime change, not war.

The Origin:

One may wonder: where did this false interpretation originate? Who is responsible for the translation that has sparked such worldwide controversy? The answer is surprising.

The inflammatory "wiped off the map" quote was first disseminated not by Iran's enemies, but by Iran itself. The Islamic Republic News Agency, Iran's official propaganda arm, used this phrasing in the English version of some of their news releases covering the World Without Zionism conference. International media including the BBC, Al-Jazeera, Time magazine and countless others picked up the IRNA quote and made headlines out of it without verifying its accuracy, and rarely referring to the source. Iran's Foreign Minister soon attempted to clarify the statement, but the quote had a life of its own. Though the IRNA wording was inaccurate and misleading, the media assumed it was true, and besides, it made great copy.

Amid heated wrangling over Iran's nuclear program, and months of continuous, unfounded accusations against Iran in an attempt to rally support for preemptive strikes against the country, the imperialists had just been handed the perfect raison d'être to invade. To the war hawks, it was a gift from the skies.

It should be noted that in other references to the conference, the IRNA's translation changed. For instance, "map" was replaced with "earth." In some articles it was "The Qods occupier regime should be eliminated from the surface of earth." or the similar "The Qods occupyingregimemust be eliminated from the surface of earth." The inconsistency of the IRNA's translation should be evidence enough of the unreliability of the source, particularly when transcribing their news from Farsi into the English language.

The Reaction:

The mistranslated "wiped off the map" quote attributed to Iran's president has been spread worldwide, repeated thousands of times in international media, and prompted the denouncements of numerous world leaders. Virtually every major and minor media outlet has published or broadcast this false statement to the masses. Big news agencies such as The Associated Press and Reuters refer to the misquote, literally, on an almost daily basis.

Following news of Iran's remark, condemnation was swift. British Prime Minister Tony Blair expressed "revulsion" and implied that it might be necessary to attack Iran. U.N. chief Kofi Annan cancelled his scheduled trip to Iran due to the controversy. Ariel Sharon demanded that Iran be expelled from the United Nations for calling for Israel's destruction. Shimon Peres, more than once, threatened to wipe Iran off the map. More recently, Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu, who has warned that Iran is "preparing another holocaust for the Jewish state" is calling for Ahmadinejad to be tried for war crimes for inciting genocide.

The artificial quote has also been subject to additional alterations. U.S. officials and media often take the liberty of dropping the "map" reference altogether, replacing it with the more acutely threatening phrase "wipe Israel off the face of the earth." Newspaper and magazine articles dutifully report Ahmadinejad has "called for the destruction of Israel." as do senior officials in the United States government.

President George W. Bush said the comments represented a "specific threat" to destroy Israel. In a March 2006 speech in Cleveland, Bush vowed he would resort to war to protect Israel from Iran, because, "the threat from Iran is, of course, their stated objective to destroy our ally Israel." Former presidential advisor Richard Clarke told Australian TV that Iran "talks openly about destroying Israel." and insists, "The president of Iran has said repeatedly that he wants to wipe Israel off the face of the earth." In an October 2006 interview with Amy Goodman, former UN Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter referred to Ahmadinejad as "the idiot that comes out and says really stupid, vile things, such as, 'It is the goal of Iran to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.'" The consensus is clear.

Confusing matters further, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad pontificates rather than give a direct answer when questioned about the statement, such as in Lally Weymouth's Washington Post interview in September 2006:

"Q: Are you really serious when you say that Israel should be wiped off the face of the Earth?

"A: We need to look at the scene in the Middle East – 60 years of war, 60 years of displacement, 60 years of conflict, not even a day of peace. Look at the war in Lebanon, the war in Gaza – what are the reasons for these conditions? We need to address and resolve the root problem.

"Q: Your suggestion is to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth?

"A: Our suggestion is very clear:... Let the Palestinian people decide their fate in a free and fair referendum, and the result, whatever it is, should be accepted.... The people with no roots there are now ruling the land.

"Q: You've been quoted as saying that Israel should be wiped off the face of the Earth. Is that your belief?

"A: What I have said has made my position clear. If we look at a map of the Middle East from 70 years ago...

"Q: So, the answer is yes, you do believe that it should be wiped off the face of the Earth?

"A: Are you asking me yes or no? Is this a test? Do you respect the right to self-determination for the Palestinian nation? Yes or no? Is Palestine, as a nation, considered a nation with the right to live under humane conditions or not? Let's allow those rights to be enforced for these 5 million displaced people."

The exchange is typical of Ahmadinejad's interviews with the American media. Predictably, both Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes and CNN's Anderson Cooper asked if he wants to "wipe Israel off the map." As usual, the question is thrown back in the reporter's face with his standard "Don't the Palestinians have rights?, etc." retort (which is never directly answered either). Yet he never confirms the "map" comment to be true. This did not prevent Anderson Cooper from referring to earlier portions of his interview after a commercial break and lying, "as he said earlier, he wants Israel wiped off the map."

Even if every media outlet in the world were to retract the mistranslated quote tomorrow, the major damage has already been done, providing the groundwork for the next phase of disinformation: complete character demonization. Ahmadinejad, we are told, is the next Hitler, a grave threat to world peace who wants to bring about a new Holocaust. According to some detractors, he not only wants to destroy Israel, but after that, he will nuke America, and then Europe! An October 2006 memo titled "Words of Hate: Iran's Escalating Threats" released by the powerful Israeli lobby group AIPAC opens with the warning, "Ahmadinejad and other top Iranian leaders are issuing increasingly belligerent statements threatening to destroy the United States, Europe and Israel." These claims not only fabricate an unsubstantiated threat, but assume far more power than he actually possesses. Alarmists would be better off monitoring the statements of the ultra-conservative Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, who holds the most power in Iran.

As Iran's U.N. Press Officer, M.A. Mohammadi, complained to the Washington Post in a June 2006 letter:

"It is not amazing at all, the pick-and-choose approach of highlighting the misinterpreted remarks of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in October and ignoring this month's remarks by Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that 'We have no problem with the world. We are not a threat whatsoever to the world, and the world knows it. We will never start a war. We have no intention of going to war with any state.'"

The Israeli government has milked every drop of the spurious quote to its supposed advantage. In her September 2006 address to the United Nations General Assembly, Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni accused Iran of working to nuke Israel and bully the world. "They speak proudly and openly of their desire to 'wipe Israel off the map.' And now, by their actions, they pursue the weapons to achieve this objective to imperil the region and threaten the world." Addressing the threat in December, a fervent Prime Minister Ehud Olmert inadvertently disclosed that his country already possesses nuclear weapons: "We have never threatened any nation with annihilation. Iran, openly, explicitlyand publicly threatens to wipe Israel off the map. Can you say that this is the same level, when they are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as America, France, Israel, Russia?"

Media Irresponsibility:

On December 13, 2006, more than a year after The World Without Zionism conference, two leading Israeli newspapers, the Jerusalem Post and Haaretz, published reports of a renewed threat from Ahmadinejad. The Jerusalem Post's headline was Ahmadinejad: Israel will be 'wiped out', while Haaretz posted the title Ahmadinejad at Holocaust conference: Israel will 'soon be wiped out'.

Where did they get their information? It turns out that both papers, like most American and western media, rely heavily on write ups by news wire services such as the Associated Press and Reuters as a source for their articles. Sure enough, their sources are in fact December 12th articles by Reuter's Paul Hughes [Iran president says Israel's days are numbered], and the AP's Ali Akbar Dareini [Iran President: Israel will be wiped out].

The first five paragraphs of the Haaretz article, credited to "Haaretz Service and Agencies." are plagiarized almost 100% from the first five paragraphs of the Reuters piece. The only difference is that Haaretz changed "the Jewish state" to "Israel" in the second paragraph, otherwise they are identical.


The Jerusalem Post article by Herb Keinon pilfers from both the Reuters and AP stories. Like Haaretz, it uses the following Ahmadinejad quote without attribution: ["Just as the Soviet Union was wiped out and today does not exist, so will the Zionist regime soon be wiped out," he added]. Another passage apparently relies on an IRNA report:

"The Zionist regime will be wiped out soon the same way the Soviet Union was, and humanity will achieve freedom," Ahmadinejad said at Tuesday's meeting with the conference participants in his offices, according to Iran's official news agency, IRNA.

He said elections should be held among "Jews, Christians and Muslims so the population of Palestine can select their government and destiny for themselves in a democratic manner."

Once again, the first sentence above was wholly plagiarized from the AP article. The second sentence was also the same, except "He called for elections" became "He said elections should be held..."

It gets more interesting.

The quote used in the original AP article and copied in the Jerusalem Post article supposedly derives from the IRNA. If true, this can easily be checked.

There you will discover the actual IRNA quote was:

"As the Soviet Union disappeared, the Zionist regime will also vanish and humanity will be liberated."

Compare this to the alleged IRNA quote reported by the Associated Press:

"The Zionist regime will be wiped out soon the same way the Soviet Union was, and humanity will achieve freedom."

In the IRNA's actual report, the Zionist regime will vanish just as the Soviet Union disappeared. Vanish. Disappear. In the dishonest AP version, the Zionist regime will be "wiped out." And how will it be wiped out? "The same way the Soviet Union was." Rather than imply a military threat or escalation in rhetoric, this reference to Russia actually validates the intended meaning of Ahmadinejad's previous misinterpreted anti-Zionist statements.

What has just been demonstrated is irrefutable proof of media manipulation and propaganda in action. The AP deliberately alters an IRNA quote to sound more threatening. The Israeli media not only repeats the fake quote but also steals the original authors' words. The unsuspecting public reads this, forms an opinion and supports unnecessary wars of aggression, presented as self defense, based on the misinformation.

This scenario mirrors the kind of false claims that led to the illegal U.S. invasion of Iraq, a war now widely viewed as a catastrophic mistake. And yet the Bush administration and the compliant corporate media continue to marinate in propaganda and speculation about attacking Iraq's much larger and more formidable neighbor, Iran. Most of this rests on the unproven assumption that Iran is building nuclear weapons, and the lie that Iran has vowed to physically destroy Israel. Given its scope and potentially disastrous outcome, all this amounts to what is arguably the rumor of the century.

Iran's president has written two rather philosophical letters to America. In his first letter, he pointed out that "History shows us that oppressive and cruel governments do not survive." With this statement, Ahmadinejad has also projected the outcome of his own backwards regime, which will likewise "vanish from the page of time."

“Photos of the steel, evidence about how the buildings collapsed, the unexplainable collapse of WTC 7, evidence of thermite in the debris as well as several other red flags, are quite troubling indications of well planned and controlled demolition”

“Why would all 110 stories drop straight down to the ground in about 10 seconds, pulverizing the contents into dust and ash - twice. Why would all 47 stories of WTC 7 fall straight down to the ground in about seven seconds the same day? It was not struck by any aircraft or engulfed in any fire. An independent investigation is justified for all three collapses including the surviving steel samples and the composition of the dust.”
Graham John Inman, structural engineer, of London, England, points out:

“WTC 7 Building could not have collapsed as a result of internal fire and external debris. NO plane hit this building. This is the only case of a steel frame building collapsing through fire in the world. The fire on this building was small & localized therefore what is the cause?”
Paul W. Mason, structural engineer, of Melbourne, Australia, argues:

“In my view, the chances of the three buildings collapsing symmetrically into their own footprint, at freefall speed, by any other means than by controlled demolition, are so remote that there is no other plausible explanation!”

“The force from the jets and the burning fuel could not have been sufficient to make the building collapse. Why doesn’t the media mention that the 11th floor was completely immolated on February 13th, 1975? It had the weight of nearly 100 stories on top of it but it did not collapse?”

“I began having doubts about, so called, official explanations for the collapse of the WTC towers soon after the explanations surfaced. The gnawing question that lingers in my mind is: How did the structures collapse in near symmetrical fashion when the apparent precipitating causes were asymmetrical loading? The collapses defies common logic from an elementary structural engineering perspective. “If” you accept the argument that fire protection covering was damaged to such an extent that structural members in the vicinity of the aircraft impacts were exposed to abnormally high temperatures, and “if” you accept the argument that the temperatures were high enough to weaken the structural framing, that still does not explain the relatively concentric nature of the failures.

Neither of the official precipitating sources for the collapses, namely the burning aircraft, were centered within the floor plan of either tower; both aircraft were off-center when they finally came to rest within the respective buildings. This means that, given the foregoing assumptions, heating and weakening of the structural framing would have been constrained to the immediate vicinity of the burning aircraft. Heat transmission (diffusion) through the steel members would have been irregular owing to differing sizes of the individual members; and, the temperature in the members would have dropped off precipitously the further away the steel was from the flames—just as the handle on a frying pan doesn’t get hot at the same rate as the pan on the burner of the stove. These factors would have resulted in the structural framing furthest from the flames remaining intact and possessing its full structural integrity, i.e., strength and stiffness.

Structural steel is highly ductile, when subjected to compression and bending it buckles and bends long before reaching its tensile or shear capacity. Under the given assumptions, “if” the structure in the vicinity of either burning aircraft started to weaken, the superstructure above would begin to lean in the direction of the burning side. The opposite, intact, side of the building would resist toppling until the ultimate capacity of the structure was reached, at which point, a weak-link failure would undoubtedly occur. Nevertheless, the ultimate failure mode would have been a toppling of the upper floors to one side—much like the topping of a tall redwood tree—not a concentric, vertical collapse.

For this reason alone, I rejected the official explanation for the collapse of the WTC towers out of hand. Subsequent evidence supporting controlled, explosive demolition of the two buildings are more in keeping with the observed collapse modalities and only serve to validate my initial misgivings as to the causes for the structural failures.”

” We design and analyze buildings for the overturning stability to resist the lateral loads with the combination of the gravity loads. Any tall structure failure mode would be a fall over to its side. It is impossible that heavy steel columns could collapse at the fraction of the second within each story and subsequently at each floor bellow.

We do not know the phenomenon of the high rise building to disintegrate internally faster than the free fall of the debris coming down from the top.

The engineering science and the law of physics simply doesn’t know such possibility. Only very sophisticated controlled demolition can achieve such result, eliminating the natural dampening effect of the structural framing huge mass that should normally stop the partial collapse. The pancake theory is a fallacy, telling us that more and more energy would be generated to accelerate the collapse. Where would such energy would be coming from ?”

Many people believe the global police state taking shape will have policemen, soldiers, and other security personnel on every corner, constantly monitoring our movements and checking our ID cards, but that won’t happen because the policeman will be in your head.


There will be no need for excessive numbers of police because people will be programmed to police themselves.

This is already beginning to happen.

The new thought police is in people’s heads.

The so-called war on terror, with its restrictions on civil liberties and implicit restrictions on thought, is a part of this process.

In the United States, especially in the media, it has become taboo to suggest that terrorists have legitimate grievances.

The official line, repeated ad nauseam by U.S. officials, is that terrorists are mindless barbarians and fanatics who hate freedom.

By why would militants who claim they are fighting for the liberation of their homelands hate freedom?

Apparently this has become a forbidden thought, too.

A U.S. broadcaster who had said that the 9/11 bombers were evil but not cowardly was forced to retract his statement and apologize in order to save his career.

The media, social norms, the education system, and advanced methods of mind control are being used to brainwash people.

People are being insidiously persuaded to allow the thought police to enter their heads and control their way of thinking.

This is a global program but it is being tested out in the United States first.

One of the main programs being downloaded into people’s heads tells them to ignore and reject intellectual inquiry, deeper ideas, speculation, and officially restricted lines of thought.

It is very easy to determine if people have been programmed.

In a conversation, bring up a serious matter.

If they listen to you, they are not programmed.

If their minds shut down and they obey the commands of the policemen in their heads and refuse to listen to you, they are programmed.

If people respond in this way, change the topic and begin talking about more mundane matters like the weather or fashion or sports events.

If they listen and actively engage in conversation with you, that proves that they are not averse to dialogue, they simply have certain restrictions on what they will discuss.

The policeman in your head enforces conformity of thought and deed.

The average person is weak and will obey the policeman in their head.

However, a freethinking person never allows a policeman to enter their head.

This creates a problem for the mind control system, so a special program has been downloaded into the heads of the sheeple to deal with freethinkers.

In this program, all of the people with policemen in their heads are commanded to constantly monitor everyone.

If they encounter a freethinking person who does not have a policeman in their head, they are commanded to use every means of persuasion and coercion at their disposal to convince the freethinker to conform and allow the policeman to enter their head.

If this fails, the people with policemen in their heads are commanded to police the thoughts and actions of the freethinker.

The sheeple are even taught that they are doing a favor for these freethinking thought criminals and showing them a way to a happy, thought crime-free life.

This I think is should be the new American anthem. Everyone in the United States seems to be comfortably numb.

In the last 7 years the citizens of the US have seen their President (who himself went AWOL from the Texas National Guard) go to two wars based on lies and no authorization from Congress. He calls himself, "The War President". He apparently finds it amusing to threaten other countries such as Iran, Syria, China and Russia, while ignoring the carnage in the Gaza territories. The country's "leaders" threaten other countries because they do not walk in lock-step with the current jack booted Administration.

The war machine is supplied by companies controlled by the Vice-President and former Secretary of War and other connected friends. Those companies are making billions off the sacrifice by our young people and the American people. In order to continue the war machine the government contracts with mercenaries apparently without oversight by anyone of authority to do the really dirty work, while the song Comfortably Numb repeats in citizens heads.

US citizens are violated, humiliated, threatened and sometimes arrested for refusing to be "patted down", when they go to airports and searched by TSA goons. Gray haired middle-aged women seem to be especially good terrorist targets for these sub-humans to harass. I once saw a very elderly woman in a wheel chair having to go through additional searching in front of everyone in line to get through “security” before being allowed to pass through.

American citizens are wiretapped, listen to, spied on, bank records being looked in to, their grocery purchases spied on, their emails are read by govt. agencies; neighbors have been encouraged to spy and report on other neighbors. Still they hum the song Comfortably Numb.

Police no longer need to have a court order in order to bust down your front door and throw you to the floor handcuffed, and tasered for asking a question. Elementary school children are being handcuffed and arrested for temper tantrums, that when I was that age I was sent to the principal’s office and was paddled. Now, children are criminalized.

Police have the right to stop any person and demand to see their identification papers.

Police who kill are no longer prosecuted. They are simply placed on paid leave until the people go back to being numb. An unarmed man in NY coming out of a club the night before his wedding was gunned down and shot 50 times by NY Police. The police were acquitted this week.

The vote you cast is no longer counted due to the use of electronic voting machine with computer codes controlled by the corporations who manufacture the machines with the result being votes can be changed to whomever the media and the “deciders” chose and without a trail.

Gasoline has tripled in price since the bankrupted, drunken, drug addled oil-man became President. No one in politics seems to care. I saw one female interviewed on a television news show asked if the price of gasoline shocked her as she was fuelling her vehicle, she said "No. Why?" When she was told by the interviewer what the price per gallon she'd just bought, the female laughed and said, "I didn't know the price was that high! I never looked". Comfortably numb.

A US citizen can be arrested and held indefinitely in a prison, without charges, for as long as the President wants. There is no longer habeas corpus in the US. I guess it's okay for the govt. to do this since those arrested seem to be muslims and the govt. must protect us against "turrurists". Innocent people whose lives have been crushed, mentally broken and then released after years of torture with no legal recourse to remedy their situation.

The US now ignores the Geneva Convention and arrest innocent people and send them to countries that will torture them (rendition) into saying whatever the US wants them to say. Our own little juniors who are in the military tortures people and take photos of the torture to show their friends what fun they had in Iraq!

The US drops cluster bombs in the middle of neighborhoods killing everyone within a certain area (children, women and old men), and then calls them "insurgents"! Insurgents? Innocent people who are simply trying to survive? The “insurgents” are people defending their country from the invasion by the US. Insurgents? Just stay comfortably numb.

Our troops break in to Iraqi houses in the middle of the night, throw the father to the ground and beat him and humiliates him in front of his family, terrorize the wife and children, sometimes raping the young daughter and then defecates and urinates in the food before leaving after finding no weapons, no bombs, no IED's. Nice, huh? Makes me proud.

48 million US citizens are without health insurance because "the country can't afford it". Yet the government spends up to 3 trillion dollars in Iraq fighting and losing an illegal war against a country that had NO WMD's, was NOT involved in the 9/11 attacks, did not and had never "threatened the US" in any way. Yet, something like 35% of the people interviewed thought the statement above was true, even after it has been admitted by the government they lied about the reasons for going to war..

Our bridges are collapsing, road go unrepaired, water pipes in cities leak a tremendous amount of water, schools no longer teach, senior citizens must decide do I eat today, or go buy my medicine, soldiers returning from Iraq return to their base at Fort Bragg and their barracks are in a shambles! Corporations make record profits and the US spends it's money to repair the bridges, road, water treatment plants, rebuild the Iraqi army and schools in Iraq that we destroyed in the first place! Yet there is no money to repair the US.

Countrywide Mortgage destroyed many lives with sub-prime loans to borrowers that never should have been approved in the first place, now those people are losing their homes, people are losing their jobs and Mr. Mozilla, CEO of Countrywide, was paid $131 million last year! But that's okay, you are comfortably numb. We understand.

While gasoline tripled in price in recent years, Exxon makes $48 billion a year in profits ($11 billion in the first quarter of this year) and pays out huge bonuses to their executives who helped make this little racket work. I hear of no one screaming about that as they pay $3.75 for a gallon of gasoline. When the CEO’s of the three big oil companies testified before Congress a few months ago, one of the Congressmen asked the executives if, in light of record profits had the CEO’s ever consider lowering the price of gasoline to help citizens out and all three of them looked dumbfounded and were speechless. The thought had never occurred to them to lower prices…simply keep raising profits!

Over 100,000 people a year die by pharmaceuticals, either being mis-prescribed by the physician, taken improperly (wrong dose or time), given the wrong medication (by the physician or Pharmacist) or just being a dangerous drug. Yet the Pharmaceuticals make exceedingly high profits each year and can no longer be sued (thanks to Bush and the mighty moneyed lobbyists) yet the government is concerned about people taking vitamins and supplements and wants to limit their purchase..

Our air is being used to manipulate the weather by using a combination of barium, aluminum sulfate, and magnesium in a soup called "chemtrails". The govt. says they are contrails. Contrails are water vapor that dissipates in a few minutes. Chemtrails are aerosolized chemicals that span out to form gray skies and funny looking clouds. Most people fail to see them or even ask questions. Flu-like symptoms, asthma, sinus congestion, fatigue all result after the chemicals are sprayed in the air. Barium is a desiccate (dries moisture out). Where chemtrails are sprayed rain disappears. Droughts are becoming endemic. Why? I used to teach Medical School and I would take my students outside to show them what a chemtrail looked like. They still didn’t seem to get it. Look up, people! Turn the tune off you I-pod and look up.

Food prices are rising and now stores are RATIONING food in the US. In the US for God's sakes! Food basket of the world they used to say; now basic food is being rationed. George Bush came into the Presidency with a budget surplus and he leaves the office with the country in shambles and food being rationed! Prices are going up quickly and no one in the govt. or the people are doing a thing about it. Keep your eyes on the road and do not look up. Stay between the lines. You are comfortably numb.

Housing prices have fallen through the roof. People can't afford their houses or afford to sell them at a loss. This situation was created by speculators who bid up prices far to high, "flipped them", then took the money and ran and banks who created ingenious financing so they could bundle all the sub-prime loans and sell them to investors.. The govt. does not care about the people who got hurt and lost their homes...THEY ARE BAILING OUT THE BANKS!

The news media, especially FOX and CNN are nothing but mouthpieces for the government. You know those "military analyst" that are on all the news shows touting how great things are going on in Iraq and Afghanistan and who help Bushie threaten Iran? We found out this week they are on the payroll of the Pentagon and go to classes held in the Pentagon to learn how to present the lies on the news shows. That’s okay, the good citizens show their support by placing the little yellow (made in China) magnets that they proudly “Support our troops”. All is well as the song continues to hum in their heads.

Credit cards companies are charging interest and fees that are over 30%. In the 60's this was called "loan sharking". Now it is just business as usual. If a person has difficulty paying their credit card balance the banks will raise interest rates and “fees” to make it more unaffordable. Why? Why don’t they decrease their charges so maybe the people behind on their payments may be able to pay something and stay current?

And yet the people stand mute!

No protests, no shouting, and no demands that those in the govt. who caused all these disasters be held accountable. The US is rapidly becoming a "Third World Country"...with fancy weapons. No culpability of the crooks that have wreaked this havoc over the last 7 years. I am afraid because US citizens may not vote for a woman or a black that they will instead vote for John "Insane" McCain. He is no “war hero”, he got shot down for God’s sake…he lost his plane! Becoming a POW and sitting out the war makes him a “hero”? Give me a break! Remember all the truth he's supposed to bring (The Truth Express?) just remember he was one of the Keating 5 of the late 1980's. Who along with Charles Keating ripped off people and the government and caused the Savings and Loan collapse. One of the Keating Five! You don't remember that...okay close your eyes and gently hum the song.

Where is the activism of the 1960’s as people poured into the streets to demand civil rights for all, the students who demanded the end of the Viet Nam war, the protestors who risked prison by burning their draft cards and refusing to serve in an unjust war? Today no one dare raise their voice against the government either out of fear of being labeled a terrorist, arrested, tasered, fired from their job, become audited by the IRS or otherwise targeted, or perhaps, perhaps they do not care.

Anyway, this rant is to try and wake up the great unwashed or as Henry Kissinger called us, "The useless eaters". It seems to me most Americans are asleep at the wheel, either drugged up on antidepressants and other prescribed anti-psychotics, or street drugs or just too damned tired to see the current mess they are in.

I think, the people should sing the American anthem, "I've become comfortably numb!"
