Mortgage applications fell 2.9% last week: MBA

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- Applications filed for mortgages fell a seasonally adjusted 2.9% last week even as interest rates on fixed-rate mortgages declined, the Mortgage Bankers Association said Wednesday.
